As the workhorse in the all-new Isuzu D-Max range, the LX Single Cab ute is built tough. It comes as a 'Cab & Chassis' and is able to be fitted with a range of different deck options to handle any task you throw at it. It is also available in Space Cab body type.
The LX Single Cab has still got some creature comforts to keep you entertained when you are out and about and, like all new D-Max models, it's got all the gear to keep you safe out on the open road. Available in manual or automatic and 2WD or 4WD, the LX Single Cab is powered by Isuzu's legendary turbo diesel engine. Exclusive to the LX Single Cab is the 1.9L variant. This version is quickly gaining attention for its supreme fuel efficiency and Isuzu reliability.

The Exterior
Completely new styling extends across all models of the all-new D-Max. The LX is the workhorse of the range and is up to any task you can throw at it. It's still got some creature comforts however to keep you entertained when you are out and about. And like all new D-Max's it's got all the gear to keep safe out on the open road.
Halogen Headlights
The LX is equipped with powerful halogen headlights for excellent visibility under all conditions. Combined with these is automatic light control and high beam assist.
Electric Windows & Mirrors
Electric windows are standard on the D-Max, easy as that. As an added luxury, the exterior mirrors are also electrically adjustable from the cabin.
17" Wheels
Durable and purposeful 17" steel wheels ensure that the D-Max LX can handle any condition thrown at it. Included are high quality All-Terrain (AT) tyres for ultimate road-holding on any surface.
Two Tone Black Grille
Strong, bold and distinctive, the LX matte black double grill features the Isuzu logo loud and proud.
The Interior
Isuzu's 'universal design' concepts drive development and inclusion of features that are intuitive to use, easy to reach and greatly improves occupant and driver convenience. An abundance of thoughtfully placed storage and cup holders complete the interior giving it a striking sense of design and function. The D-Max offers all of the luxury appointments expected in modern vehicles.
Design
When designing the interior of the all-new D-Max the engineers were given a directive to use an airplane cockpit as inspiration. This means that control ergonomics, occupant comfort, material quality & durability, and driver visibility are key priorities. The team at Isuzu Utes nailed the brief, once you jump in the all-new D-Max you will never want to leave.
Comfort
Sculpted sports seats provide optimal comfort for driver and passengers. Entry and exit have been made easier thanks to large door openings. Double sealed doors and an excess of soundproofing make the D-Max a peaceful and relaxing ride.
Internal Storage
With 10 different positions for cups or bottles, the upper front console provides storage for tissues and has a 12v 120-watt power socket for added convenience. The upper center console storage, under steering wheel storage and deep door pockets allow for plenty of storage solutions for those easily misplaced but much-needed items.

Isuzu 4JJ3 3.0L Engine
The dependable 3.0L 4JJ3 turbo-diesel engine has been given a tickle up and now produces more power and torque. Revisions to the high-pressure injector system, electronically controlled variable geometry turbocharger and engine internals result in an extra 10 kW of power plus another 20 Nm of torque all while maintaining class-leading dependability.
Off-Road Performance
The D-Max's legendary go-anywhere ability has been further improved providing you a ute that is as at home up in the backcountry hills as it is out on SH1. Wading depth has been increased to 800mm for those extra deep crossings, whilst 4x4 models now include a rear differential lock for improved traction on slippery surfaces. For on-road excursions, there is a range of new electronic driving aids to keep you on the straight and narrow.

Isuzu’s legendary 3-litre turbo diesel engine delivers high torque across the range, making light work of a caravan, boat, or trailer. Terrain Command (4x4 Models)

One of the Safest Vehicles On New Zealand Roads
Redefining the standards for safety, the All-New Isuzu D-Max is the first vehicle to be tested in Australasia against the new stringent 2020 ANCAP testing and rating criteria—achieving a maximum 5 star safety rating across the entire Isuzu D-Max range.
In September 2020, Australasian’s leading independent vehicle safety authority, ANCAP SAFETY published a 5 star safety rating for the All-New Isuzu D-Max, praising it for re-establishing “the safety benchmark for the competitive ute segment.”
“The D-MAX rating has been highly anticipated by fleet and private buyers, and re-establishes the safety benchmark for the competitive ute segment which has traditionally tended to lag that of passenger cars and SUVs,” said ANCAP Director of Communications and Advocacy, Rhianne Robson.
In the official ANCAP statement announcing the maximum 5 star safety rating result, ANCAP commended Isuzu for democratising safety across the entire range, stating that “all variants in the D-Max range – single cab, space cab, double cab, and cab chassis – provide the same high level safety features, technologies and performance as standard.”
Isuzu’s Intelligent Driver Assistance System (IDAS#), which covers an extensive list of both active and passive safety features, is standard across every D-MAX model. Using state-of-the-art sensors and a stereo camera system, the D-MAX constantly monitors your surrounding environment for danger. Should it detect a collision is imminent, the system will work to help the driver to defuse dangerous situations via alert systems and automated functions.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)

Driver Attention Assist (DAA)
